This policy explains what the PodcastCreator Studio browser extension (the “Extension”) accesses, why, and where it goes. The Extension is a companion to your account at podcastcreator-studio.com (“the Service”). It lets you browse, generate, and listen to your own podcasts from a browser side panel.

The short version

• The Extension stores one thing on your device: your Studio access token, so you don't have to sign in repeatedly.
• It talks to only one server: your PodcastCreator Studio account at podcastcreator-studio.com.
• It does not sell your data, show ads, run third-party analytics or trackers, or send your data to anyone else.

What the Extension stores on your device

• Your Studio access token — a credential you paste in (or obtain by signing in) so the Extension can call the Service on your behalf. It is kept locally in the browser's extension storage (chrome.storage.local / the Firefox equivalent) on your own computer. It is never transmitted to us or to any third party — it is only sent back to podcastcreator-studio.com as the authorization header on your own API requests, exactly as it would be from the website itself.
• Small UI preferences (e.g. the last-selected podcast or the configured base URL for self-hosted instances), also stored locally.

You can clear all of this at any time by removing the Extension, or via your browser's “clear extension data”.

What the Extension accesses (and does not keep)

To show your library and play episodes, the Extension requests data from your Studio account — your list of podcasts, run history, schedule summaries, and finished audio files. This data is fetched live from podcastcreator-studio.com, shown in the side panel, and held only in memory for the duration of the session. The Extension does not copy it to any other location and does not retain it after the panel is closed.

The Extension does not read the content of the web pages you visit, your browsing history, your other tabs, cookies for other sites, your clipboard, or any file on your computer.

Permissions, and why each is needed

• storage — to remember your access token and UI preferences on your device (above).
• sidePanel / sidebar_action — to show the Extension's interface in the browser side panel/sidebar.
• Host access to https://podcastcreator-studio.com/* — so the Extension can call your Studio account's API to list, generate, and play your podcasts. This is the only site the Extension is permitted to contact.

Data sharing and sale

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. The Extension has no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no external trackers. The only network destination is the PodcastCreator Studio server that hosts your own account.

Data security & retention

Your token and preferences remain on your device under your browser's extension sandbox and are removed when you uninstall the Extension. Data exchanged with the Service travels over HTTPS. Server-side handling of your account (podcasts, audio, account details) is governed by the Service's own terms.

Children

The Extension is a productivity tool intended for account holders and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, note it in the Extension's store listing.
